Profi Lit
When a big carpenter workshop decided to renew its facade made out of Profilit® glass profiles, we immediately saw the potential in this everyday object of industries in suburbia. After the careful dismantling of the facade, the profiles were transported to our workshop and a new story of possibilities began. The broken edges and other small imperfections caused by its use over the years and the process of dismantling, told many stories and are taken as an opportunity to highlight flaws, turning them into a virtue. Red paint covers the sharp edges and brings the geometry of fracture to the foreground. With its reduced metal structure the profiles become a transparent shelf. The Profi Lit.
