Holy Halo

Short before the dismantling of an office building, we decided to have a look and see what elements could lead us to new furniture ideas. It was right after stepping into the building, when the extensive surface of shiny chrome elements of the suspended ceiling caught our eye. We proceeded with dismantling the elements. Holding two of these square suspended ceiling elements back to back, the reflections overlay with the see though of the perforated surface, distorting the image of its surrounding. Just by adding a round shaped LED light tube in-between and by passing the cable through the existing assembly openings, the shades become a translucent and glowing lamp, shifting its appearance and reflection depending on the daytime.
